Fresh water in Libya + oil in Libya = war of aggression and mass murder by U.S. / NATO.

In the mid-1950s, oil exploration in Libya’s vast southern desert region revealed a priceless hidden treasure. A treasure more valuable than gold, silver, diamonds, oil and all of the counterfeit money of the United States Federal Reserve. Deep under the Sahara sands of Libya, ancient aquifers have been storing 40,000-year-old reserves of pure drinking water.
The groundwater was put in place during ancient eras of dramatically different climates and became encapsulated through geological changes. Like the fossil fuels that were also created under long-vanished conditions, this “fossil water” is a non-renewable resource with great potential.
To bring this ancient, remote water to Libya’s people Muammar Gaddafi launched The Great Man-Made River Project—a water management scheme of enormous scope. The project is a network of pipes and reservoirs that move water from its subterranean desert origins and delivers it to the country’s heavily-populated coastal region at a total estimated cost in excess of $20 billion (U.S.).
Financed by revenue from Libya’s massive oil reserves (the largest in Africa and the ninth largest in the world with 41.5 billion barrels), the project began in 1984. Construction continued until today – US war of aggression has hindered its progress. The Great Man-Made River Project has had a dramatic impact on economy of the many Libyan coastal cities now serviced by water from the nation’s ancient reserves. The system is designed to pump water from some 1,300 desert wells and move 6.5 million cubic meters of it every day. Already, 4,000 km (2,485 miles) of 4-meter-diameter pipeline is transporting water to faucets in Libyan homes.
The design life of the project is 50 years, but the actual life will depend greatly on the pumping rates. Until now the Libyan government of Muammar Gaddafi had been closely monitoring and regulating the The Great Man-Made River Project in an effort to extend that prediction by decades. But now that the US, the UK, French and Canadian governments have launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Libya this essential water supply will probably quickly evaporate. As this unlawful war against Libya is backed by foreign mercenaries from the fresh water and oil poor African neighbors and the fresh water poor Middle East terrorist sponsoring and torture states, there is no double that once a US / NATO military occupation of Libya is in place both the vast oil reserves and vast fresh water supplies will be looted and laundered by greedy US, UK, French and Canadian companies. Instead of lasting for more than 5 decades under Muammar Gaddafi’s management both will be sucked dry in just a few years.
No one knows for certain how much of this precious water remains and this fresh water source is non-renewable—when it’s gone it’s gone. With so much invested by the Libyan people in development of this precious resource it has been Muammar Gaddafi’s main priority to make every drop count. Today, however, efficient use is no longer a key concern for the invading and mass murdering governments of the US, the UK, France and Canada. Today Water in Libya + oil in Libya = war profiteering for the governments of the US, the UK, France and Canada.
Water, like religion and ideology, has the power to move millions of people. Since the very birth of human civilization, people have moved to settle close to it. People move when there is too little of it. People move when there is too much of it. People journey down it. People write, sing and dance about it. People fight over it. And all people, everywhere and every day, need it. ~ Mikhail Gorbachev
