AWACS flights over Libya gives evidence that NATO has launched another war of aggression.

NATO has already launched AWACS reconnaissance aircraft over Libya. AWACS are airborne radar system designed to detect aircraft. Used at a high altitude, the AWACS are the first aircrafts to be deployed in an invasion as the radars allow the attacking air force to detect and distinguish between friendly and hostile aircraft hundreds of miles away. AWACS aircraft are used for both defensive and offensive air operations. The system is used offensively to direct fighters to their target locations, and defensively to counter anti-aircraft attacks.
With the launching of 24/7 AWACS flights over the sovereign state of Libya, without the consent of the Libyan government or its people, NATO has officially launched a war of aggression against Libya. International law experts say such a provocative move is perceived by international law as a declaration of war. A war of aggression. A war of conquest – a military conflict waged without the justification of self-defense – for territorial gain and subjugation.
The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court refers to the crime of aggression as one of the “most serious crimes of concern to the international community”.
In 1950, the Nuremberg Tribunal defined Crimes against Peace, in Principle VI, specifically Principle VI(a), submitted to the United Nations General Assembly, as:
(i) Planning, preparation, initiation or waging of a war of aggression or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances;
(ii) Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of any of the acts mentioned under (i).
The UN Charter Article 2 states that such flights are illegal.
4. All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.
The only reason for launching AWACS aircraft is to support military air strikes. If the AWACS aircraft are already flying over Libya you can bet that NATO fighter jets and bombers are already flying sorties in Libyan and have already dropped bombs on known military targets in Libya. At such high altitudes it is virtually impossible for people on the ground to differentiate between Libyan bomber aircrafts and NATO bomber aircrafts. As part of the usual NATO propaganda – a disinformation campaign to gain support for a military intervention in Libya – the western media are now instructed to report that Gaddafi is bombing and killing Libyan rebels when in fact it is NATO. NATO is once again being used by the United States as its surrogate military force. In 2001 the United States used NATO forces to initiate an unprovoked attack against Afghanistan – to take control of the construction of the Trans-Afghan natural gas pipeline and 10 years later the United States is using NATO forces to initiate yet another unprovoked attack, this time against Libya – to take control of the largest oil reserve in Africa.

NATO is also in gross violation of its own treaty. Article 5 of the treaty did not apply to NATO’s war of aggression against Afghanistan and it does not apply to Libya because Afghanistan did not attack the US or any other NATO state and nor has Libya. Libya is engulfed in a civil war. A civil war is a war between organized groups within the same nation state. A civil war is not an international dispute. There is no war or even a threat of war between 2 states. No armed attacks has occurred against any NATO state. No threats of an armed attack has been made against the US, Canada, France, the UK or any other NATO state.
The North Atlantic Treaty

The Parties to this Treaty reaffirm their faith in the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and their desire to live in peace with all peoples and all governments.
They are determined to safeguard the freedom, common heritage and civilisation of their peoples, founded on the principles of democracy, individual liberty and the rule of law. They seek to promote stability and well-being in the North Atlantic area.
They are resolved to unite their efforts for collective defence and for the preservation of peace and security. They therefore agree to this North Atlantic Treaty :
Article 1
The Parties undertake, as set forth in the Charter of the United Nations, to settle any international dispute in which they may be involved by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace and security and justice are not endangered, and to refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force in any manner inconsistent with the purposes of the United Nations.
Article 5
The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.
