Goodbye oil fuels.
Latest news, World news Tuesday, December 27th, 2011What will your New Year resolution be for 2012? Mine is to convert a gas powered vehicle into an drive-charge motor vehicle and prove that the World can say goodbye to oil fuels.
I’ve already started working on my New Year resolution. I’ve got a number of local businesses interested in supporting the all-electric conversion project by providing technical and mechanical manpower. An auto salvage yard is now looking for a small car, that is in mint condition body and frame wise, with a blown gasoline engine for the project. First week of 2012 I will begin work on raising funds for the project.
In 2012 I intend on converting a pollution spewing gasoline engine car into an electric car that doesn’t need plugging in nor is weighed down by heavy, expensive and limited mileage battery cells. My electric car with have just two 12 volt car batteries and they will supply all the power the vehicle needs to operate for hours.
The initial test and filming will be carried out in a controlled environment. The converted vehicle will be placed on a dyno and driven until the electric motor stops because of insufficient electrical power. The ultimate goal is to film the converted vehicle spinning its wheels at speeds of 60 mph +, for at least 8 hours, without a recharge. 60 mph for 8 hours means the vehicle will have traveled 480 miles.
