A car that runs on air.
Getting Off Oil, World news Wednesday, March 14th, 2012A car that runs on compressed air. Orchestrates old technologies into a new chassis. Not a drop of gasoline. Zero carbon emissions. Able to travel farther than any electric car on the road today. Range of 200 miles per tank of compressed air. At speeds of up to 60 mph. To refill and go another 200 miles you need only stop at any gas station and use their tire inflating compressor to refill the air tank. Takes just 3 minutes to refill the air tanks.
MDI is working on developing an on board air compressor generator system that will refill the compressed air tanks while you drive. The compressed air that runs the car will also run a generator to compress its own air. A car that runs on air and constantly refuels itself – perpetual motion.
Former Renault F1 mechanic Guy Negre of Motor Development International (MDI) has developed a compressed air propulsion system for the auto industry. What could be more environmentally friendly than a car with clean cold atmospheric air as its only exhaust emission? There’s no combustion whatsoever. Power comes from compressed air.
