Zero gas, zero oil, zero emissions and 70 mph of pure fun.
Latest news, World news Tuesday, May 31st, 2011How would you like to travel to work or school and use no gas, no oil and emit no emissions? How about driving at an exhilarating 70 mph. Today, not in 10 years time, you and I can own and drive vehicles that uses zero gas, zero oil, emits zero emissions, is virtually silent, and can accelerate to speeds of 70 mph. Today we can finally put an end to the war causing, disease causing and pollution causing oil dependency and at the same time stop global warming. How? By dumping gasoline powered vehicles for all-electric vehicles. The technology is available today, in 2011, to power our cars, trucks and toys with electricity.
Electric motorcycles and scooters are rising in popularity because of the high gasoline prices. Battery technology has rapidly improved in the last couple of years making this form of transportation more practical and environmentally friendly. City smog would be a thing of the past if we used electric powered motorcycles and scooters to go to and from work and school.
Using electricity to power our vehicles is very beneficial to all of mankind. Electric vehicles would mean cleaner air and cooler cities. Electric power is a fraction of the cost of gasoline power. Electric means better acceleration characteristics than gasoline powered motorcycles in the same speed category. Less parking and traffic congestion. Electric means lower maintenance costs and fewer scheduled maintenance. Electric means no more carbon monoxide poisoning. Electric means instant on – no more warm-up time. Electric means a lot less heat given off by the electric motor than is typical for internal combustion engines.
The battery technology is so advanced today that you can now replenish the electric motorcycle’s lithium ion batteries by plugging it into an ordinary electrical outlet for a mere 90 minutes. Before you would have to “plug in” and recharge overnight. After a 90 minute recharge electric motorcycles have a range of about 80km and a top speed of 110 km/hr. Most of us commute to work or school within the 80 km range and with a top speed of 110 km/hr we can get to and from work and school within the legal highway speed limits.
Who knew that saving the enviroment and saving money could be so much fun.
