Technology gives electric cars capacity to surpass mileage of gas combustion cars.Getting Off Oil, World news Wednesday, May 27th, 2015
The technology exists to allow electric cars to easily out drive any gas combustion vehicle on the road today. This technology isn’t new. It has been around since the advent of the Model T Ford gas combustion car. This nearly century old technology will allow any electric car to generate and regenerate their own power. With this technology, electric cars have the capacity to surpass the mileage of gas combustion cars. All electric cars can travel farther than gas combustion cars simply by installing an alternator. An alternator is already used in all gas combustion vehicles to recharge the single 12 Volt car battery and provide electrical power to all of the electrical components in every new and used gasoline and diesel engine vehicle in the World.
An alternator is already used worldwide to charge/recharge gas combustion vehicles’ car batteries as they are driven. An alternator can be used to recharge the electrical power supply of electric cars as they are driven too. Electric cars never need to be plugged in to recharge if you connect an alternator, via pulleys and a serpentine belt, to the electric motor and simultaneously generate electrical energy to power the electric motor and recharge the batteries as you drive.
Add another nearly century old technology, the capacitor, to the electrical power system of electric cars and you lighten the weight and drastically lower the cost of manufacturing and maintaining electric cars.
Capacitors are better than 12 volt car batteries because they store more energy than a 12 volt car battery and are very quickly recharged, to full capacity, by an alternator. Capacitors are also better than 12 volt car batteries because capacitors are much smaller than 12 volt car batteries. Capacitors don’t have nor do they “ever” need water or acid in them. 12 volt car batteries have both water and acid in them. Capacitors can also be charged and recharged indefinitely. 12 volt car batteries can’t be charged and recharged indefinitely. 12 volt car batteries are only warrantied to last x number of years, whereas capacitors outlast and outperform any 12 volt car battery.
